PROJECT BREAKDOWN

A mobile WebAR experience examining the illusion of safety in Israeli society after the events of October 7th. Viewers scan QR codes placed across Tel Aviv to reveal 3D concrete barricades merged into real-world locations. The project was released on October 7th, 2024, exactly one year after the attacks, and was exhibited at Shenkar’s Gravity Force exhibition, which showcased artistic responses to the year’s events in Israel. I co-directed and co-developed the project, modeled and textured barricade scenes using Houdini and Substance Painter, and optimized them for mobile performance. We used Niantic's wonderful WebAR platform - 8thWall, to integrate the scenes into a cohesive WebAR experience.
